Like to grab some locally.
Trying to extend the wire to the ballast on a set hids.
What is the voltage and amperage?
Someone recommended 30 KV rated wire.
I read the amps pulled is around 6.
The only place local that might have it is radio equipment on Vulcan.
If not:
Mcmaster.com then search item 8296K18
Thank you.
Def radio equipment. We use them all the time for various projects.
haha
30kv X 6 Amps = 180000 watts.
180kw = 244.7HP
you were lied to
I would think Grangers would have something that would work for you too. Located by Union and Walden in Cheektowaga.

Most automotive HID headlights require about a 25-35kV pulse to strike the arc inside the bulb, so he wasn’t lied to. Once the arc is established the voltage drops to around 80-100V steady-state.
Be careful on trying to “extend” the wires, insulate the connections extremely well, as high-voltage like that will find the path of least resistance and may short out to your car.
chill guy he is putting really bright lights up
Advised.
Where the lights are mounted there is just not practical location for the ignitor.
