Where to buy K-1 kerosene around Albany?

Where can i buy some kerosene around albany/xgates? i’m buying a salamander today for the garage and i’ve been looking but haven’t seen any for sale at the gas stations i pass by regularly

i live right behind grossgates so i’m lookin for a place close by.

seriously, no one?

I know the Sunoco/Mobil in Malta by the trooper barracks carries that to replace their 110 octane for the winter. Atleast that was last I knew.

Internet says newcombs fuel oil in Albany.

yeah, when i lived in luther forest i used to buy it there. i also know that the gas station on rt5, right by 890 carries it.

i belive that is fuel delivery, i don’t think i can go fill a 5 gallon there

Did you call? Only one way to find out. Doesn’t hurt to ask them if they know where to buy retail if they won’t sell. If they’re delivering it- their customers could be selling it?

I don’t know too many reasons to get Kero delivered? If they’re the top google hit, it must be for a reason.

i tried, no one answers

Im not sure around albany, but in cobleskill the only places that sell K-1 are the hess stations. All other places sell the dyed stuff… so i’d start with looking at all the hess stations…

the gas station at the corner of route 20 and Settles Hill road sells it. When I worked up that way we used to get it for our salamander almost everyday.

I know a lot of Hess stations carry Kerosene, not sure if it’s the sale you need though. Hess on Michigan Ave near 890 for sure has kerosene.

john ray and sons has it in troy, not too far from my work, just went and got some at lunch
red dyed k-1 kero

i buy my kerosene from hess. its undyed and if you have good wick (not pertaining to your salamander) it doesnt really smell once it gets going.

a side note that i heard from a plumber friend: burning kerosene instead of no. 2 home heating oil in an oil burner is cleaner and more effiecient. i dont have the balls to try it yet to prove if its true or not

I picked up a propane salamander from tractor supply and holly balls does that thing give out heat!

yea it burns just fine.

Any more places we can add to this list

Sunoco on Route 7 in Latham at the corner of Rosendale and 7. Pump is just right of the building.

Wolf rd Hess

petrol in glenmont on 9w

nice, i think that’s the closest one to me
