Where to find a poly or rubber sledgehammer (about 6-8lbs)

Looking for a sledgehammer to straighten some slightly bent rims (I’ve done it before with good results) It has to have a rubber or a poly head, and weigh around 6-8 lbs, with a long handle. I tried googling, but came up with nothing. I’ve seen/used them before (years and years ago) but have no idea where to find one. I don’t want a dead blow hammer.

anyone?

We have them at work. They are orange. But I think they are really just dead blow hammers…

It’s like a plastic body w/ an orange head, right?

Actually, the one I used in the past was steel, but had a rubber head that looked liked it screwed on. It had also had a wooden handle. I just get the feeling that a dead blow wouldn’t be as effective… Who is the manufacturer of the style you have at work?

I think a sand filled hammer would work pretty well for straightening a rim. (SIDENOTE: Another trick if your wheel is slightly oval is a bottle jack)

The ones we have at work are stanley

Dead blow would be perfect.

Deadblows are available at HF
