where to find: short open wheel nuts *pix*

As seen in the pics below, i need open wheel nuts but i need them to be super short. i had these ones from a set of bolt on spacers from years ago, but i need to get better ones, those ones sucked, as you can see by the rounding edges.

12 x 1.25 thread pitch.

i dont have a mic on my to measure the height, but with a tape measure they have to be no taller and ideally just a bit shorter than 1/2" in total height

You try shitty tire or home depot?

they wont have them this short… normally they are 0.8" - 1.0" in total height.

Don’t bother trying CT… I’ll save you the gas, I work there… We don’t carry anything ‘high performance’ like that… I know, it kinda sucks… CT is just about everywhere, yet it doesn’t even carry most of the stuff we need…

Ahh yeah that’s true. you guys only carry OEM crap.

performance improvments… or brafasco…

brafasco is your best bet tho.

if they dont have it they will get it.

look like my stock acorn nuts, are they different?

wheels direct have them

they are tuner open style

like 1/2" long

a high end tire shop should have those. brafasco doesn’t really carry automotive fasteners so i would not try there. if you are in a crunch you could just grind down the top of the nut to the hight you want, run a tap though clear up the threads and you are good to go.

peace

get me the part number or something yo!

Fastenal?

lol i dont work there

they are 2 dollars each

just get the talls ones and just get someone that works on a lathe to turn it short… i had to do the same with my “closed end nuts” to make them open ended so i could still use them if i’m not running any spacer on my car so my nuts wont bottom out

I got some of those from parts source. I just told them the thread pitch and the size. There were like. 80 cents each I think. They were pretty short.

yo bing, i have a set of 20 gorilla small diameter tuner lugs. http://www.gorilla-auto.com/small.diameter.lugs.and.locks.page_13 its the acorn open end in chrome. they’re used but still in very good shape.
