got a belt sander?
DIY belt sander > Napa
If you do decide you want to take it to NAPA, save yourself some effort and just tie it to your rear bumper and drag it down a mile of broken road.
Send it to that machine shop across from buschur racing? I’m pretty sure that’s who does all their machine work as I’ve watched them wheel stuff across the street while being there. I wouldn’t trust machine shops around here after all the BS I’ve seen and heard about.
I’m not trying to send a $100 head out of state to get decked lol.
I’ll just buy a use one at that rate.
K+S (not the retail store on river road) machine shop use to do good work. I’ve got a super stock us open winner motor from them sittin in my garage that has probabaly 7 full seasons on it of 7k + rpm with no issues. However Jim did say something earlier this summer about a friend of his losing a motor built by them so idk. Could always give them a call and get a quote. They are located on ward road just off oliver in NT
To answer your question in short…Pretty much any machine shop. You are looking to get one of the easiest things done, so I’m pretty sure pretty much any machine shop will do just fine. Now, you’d have to be picky depending on how smooth you want the finish to turn out because that can entail special tooling that many machine shops lack.
j&l i believe in lancaster did a good job on my head, they also pressure test it for free
Truco in Tonawanda. Plenty of work through their doors and Andy has taken care of me every time. If you tell them it’s a $100 head, for a $200 car, the price will be affordable and the work will suit your needs, if you tell him it’s a $$$ head for a serious project, he’ll adjust things accordingly.
northeast machine shop in tonawanda. Probably the highest priced but the quality will be there.
