If you can afford to spend the extra 1500 or so to do an RB25 and are after bigger HP, than go for that! It’s more of an initial cost, ie, motor price, driveshaft, wiring, etc…
and i never said anything about the tunnel!! haahah. I just said, it’s more money and more work to get it to work!
i went with the 20 as i’m not after big HP and i’m after high revving, wicked sounding, short strokin quick spooling CHEAPNESS! hahaha.
I would recommend getting McKinney mounts to place the motor lower and further back and also for more radiator and fan clearance…not to mention hood clearance.
Anyways, yeah, I vouch for Riyad. He’s not necessarily the cheapest but I trust his work and his wiring and installs are all really really good and as close to OEM as possible.
I also can say that the dudes at Union (simplemind07, .white.240., R.P.M.) are really good to deal with. Consider Riworx and also the boys at union for install and custom work.
If money was no option, I’d STILL go with a built RB20. I’m not kidding you.
Also, what’s pretty good about the RB20 is that eveyrthing is pretty much plug and play, driveshaft works, KA tranny works, KA clutch works, speedo works, and the Skyline GTS-T Tach bolts RIGHT into the sotck gauge cluster. I lucked out and got a dark grey one with my clip, sometimes they’re blue, ewwww.
Yeah, give em a call for the clip. Riyad hand picks most of them in Japan from RUNNING complete cars then gets them cutup in half before sending them over.
