where to get front clips?

If you can afford to spend the extra 1500 or so to do an RB25 and are after bigger HP, than go for that! It’s more of an initial cost, ie, motor price, driveshaft, wiring, etc…

and i never said anything about the tunnel!! haahah. I just said, it’s more money and more work to get it to work!

i went with the 20 as i’m not after big HP and i’m after high revving, wicked sounding, short strokin quick spooling CHEAPNESS! hahaha.

I would recommend getting McKinney mounts to place the motor lower and further back and also for more radiator and fan clearance…not to mention hood clearance.

Anyways, yeah, I vouch for Riyad. He’s not necessarily the cheapest but I trust his work and his wiring and installs are all really really good and as close to OEM as possible.

I also can say that the dudes at Union (simplemind07, .white.240., R.P.M.) are really good to deal with. Consider Riworx and also the boys at union for install and custom work.

If money was no option, I’d STILL go with a built RB20. I’m not kidding you.

Also, what’s pretty good about the RB20 is that eveyrthing is pretty much plug and play, driveshaft works, KA tranny works, KA clutch works, speedo works, and the Skyline GTS-T Tach bolts RIGHT into the sotck gauge cluster. I lucked out and got a dark grey one with my clip, sometimes they’re blue, ewwww.

Yeah, give em a call for the clip. Riyad hand picks most of them in Japan from RUNNING complete cars then gets them cutup in half before sending them over.

^shit sorry i thought it was you that said the tunnel hits alright while maybe i`m back into considering the 25 thing then its only another month for the 25 over 20 as far as finances and its not like im driving it anytime soon hmm…

cant argue there. RB20…your wasting your time…for the same amount of money and less hassle, you can turbo yout KA motor, which incidentally has been proven to have a lot of potential, or better yet gor RB25…

i dont have a motor as of now it was sohc but didn`t run so im just pieceing together what to do and as for same price a 25 will cost about 600-1000 more for motor plus around 1100 for mckinney mounts and driveshaft so it a big debate that skylinejdm website has some good prices neorb25det 280hp for only 2200 has anyone bought from them before?

and weaves cant talk he went sr and sold it right after it was done=fag

Well, its all what you want from your car. I have a very specific build in mind. For my application, the rb20 is what I want and nothing else. The 25 has its merits too but also its cons. Pick which one is right for you!

yeah true i have some thinking to do i have to meet varun friday and im going to talk it over with him just to get one more opinion ^he likes your idea ronnie lol

Im with Ronnie, Im getting an rb20 this winter too. I want the exact things as Ronnie, Im a student and dont have the extra 1500-2000 to spend on the 25. Everybody Ive asked that has a rb20 loves it.

Up to you though, if you want the 25 then get the 25 but if you want the 20 then get the 20. Simple as that

I too want to get an RB20, they suck shit and are worse than SR20s, can anyone help me???

Stickers bro… Stickers…

Fucking redneck! Seriously though go with the 25 or Ill sleep with your mom and not call her back…

lol the single slammer ran fine just had to be plugged in but definitely get rid of that shit lol. RB25 ftw.

^let me adjust that statement i tried my batt and the old coil in the car and it didnt start so i gave up lol and now i go big and derek why are you trying to screw my mom is this becuase i did it to your mother first?

RB20 is the shit. High revving is easy as shit for it due to the stroke.
Much cheaper. All stock with a FMIC and 3" straight pipe I put down 216.1rwhp.
Can’t go wrong there.

The 25 is still an amazing motor. Just have to be a bit more careful. Parts start getting bigger/more expensive. Stroke is a wack different. Not such a happy revving motor. But the displacement and supporting mods are insane.

One day, I will get a 25 and swap it it. This way I can for sure give a 100% honest opinion.

Basically. If you want mucho torqo. Go 25. You wanna hear a gangster sound and bounce that shit off rev limiter all day without worry. Go 20.

For the price range of all 1,600 - 2,500. RB20 wins allllllll day long.

If anything get the RB20. Then get an RB30 bottom end. Set of poncams, 3071r, 740cc and a good tune. Your makin fuckin jaaaaaaam

can a rb 25 fit in the block of a onevia

Assuming you mean Onevia engine bay, then yes.

Google it.

is everyone avoiding the sr just because they dont want to be like everyone else?

That and you can do better things for less monies.

Yes. And because everyone now knows how easy the swap is. PLUS you get to say you have a fucking RB!

Soon it will be VH’s don’t worry

Tork yo.

I usually drive my car like a normal person so I like being able to pass people without having to downshift all the time.

I’ve owned both, last year my car for the whole summer was a hatchback with an SR20. I can see why some people like the SR so I’m not going to knock the one I like less. For me an RB25 is the way to go.

I’ve driven a bunch of cars with an RB20 but I’ve never owned an RB20 powered car… I still don’t see the point in them, maybe I’d have to own one to get it.
