Most of the quick in and out style oil change places that do inspections dont really care. So as long as you call the car safe to drive, take it to one of those and they normally check the lights at the most.
I took my car to a jiffy lube and they hit the horn, popped the hood and looked around for a while, then plugged into the OBD-II and i was off in a few mins with no hassles.
Just had one done at the garage at the corner of Millersport and N.Forest. More out of convenience than anything else because I could drop it off on the way to work and then walk the 1/4 mile to my office from there.
I always pre-inspect my vehicles though and fix anything that might cause them to fail.
