where to sell a junk car

I need to dispose of the bronco. Tons of good parts still on it and it is somewhat of a collectors piece for some, I am sure someone would want the fenders and such.

Who buys junk cars for good money? I am looking for around $750 for it, a place in rochester told me i would get around 600 if it was out here.

Never hear of a place setting a price by what parts are there, Usually junk cars go by weight and youd be lucky to get 175

you must not be seeing what I am. Like I said, a place in rochester offered me $600 and a free tow.

why dont you call them and tell them to come get it if they want it :idiots

in agreeance :nod

because it is stuck in the capital district. :confused

scrap yard!!

yea. who pays?

williams used autoparts

williams doesnt pay very well, and scrap value is down as well. check with german psi, he just brough a bunch of junk to a recycler, he might be able to point you in the right direction

yea scrap sucks but if it’s got good parts on it they will take it plus they are the closest one to his house where the truck is

If a junk yard is buying it for scrap i’m not gonna get the money its worth… new $800 tires on the thing, $200 windshield, $42k mile engine that is still good… I wont take anything less than 750 for it you know.

so get it running and use it as a beater/ plow truck?

no time. I am in Rochester full time now and I just picked up basically a 4th car. Adam tried to take a look at the wiring for me but got no where.

no business is going to buy it for more than about $25.

If you want money for it try selling it the normal way like want ad or craigslist.

:+1

lol, this is not getting anywhere.

Its on craigslist, someone is looking at it sometime in the next couple weeks…

but… I don’t understand why in rochester I get flyers in the mail about “cash for your junk cars” but in the capital district I apparently wont get more than 25 bucks. :lol

When I was getting rid of my parts Maxima (had a good motor, body parts, but bad tranny and striped interior) no one would give me more than $50. I gave it to my co-worker who is a fire chief as well in our small town and he ended up blowing it up and having his guys practice puttin out car fires on it. Gave me a $500 tax write off…which amounts to like $40 of my income tax…lol.

If it’s junk…well…it’s junk.

if youre looking to get more than scrap price for the weight of the vehicle, best bet is craigslist or ebay

williams offerd me $60 for my 1991 4.3l s10
and lake auto gave me $150
