Where to Visit in Buffalo

My wife and I are considering going to the Buffalo Zoo tomorrow, as this weekend marks our 1 year anniversary, and I was wondering what else we should try and see while we are over there or where is a good restaurant to check out. She doesn’t drink, so bars aren’t necessary.

Wil’s BBQ is across the street…literally. Great food!

i’ll put it on the list. Also looking for museum/gallery/historic places that we could see as well.

The Art Gallery is near the Zoo, The Naval Park isnt too far away with Templeton Landing right there…

Albright Knox art gallery
Delaware Park - walk around or rent rowboats
Elmwood area - bars/restaurants/shops
Harbor Front downtown -not too much just yet down there, though

Check here for a bunch of activities going on this weekend: http://calendar.artvoice.com/

Taste of Buffalo is this weekend downtown.

For historical things, the Naval Museum by the harbor, walking tours of the city by the grain elevators, and frank lloyd wright tours.

Anchor bar for wings if your down that way

Go to Toronto, get a nice room, and go out to dinner at any one of the many good restaurants. After dinner, take her back to said hotel room and fuck like primates.

Whom ever decided to start walking tours of the city by the bum infested grain elevators should be kicked in the dick. That’s like saying why not do a walking tour of the streets of the fruit belt.

My old thread

More like a running tour.

ehhhh, ive canvassed the fruit belt to get signatures a few times now… its mostly good people, if your arent involved in something unsavory no one will bother you

The east side isn’t that bad. Just don’t do anything that will get you murdered, like sell _________ on someone else’s turf

I really miss this place. Really, really great permanent collection and awesome exhibits. Although it is contemporary/modern focused so maybe it’s not for everyone.

side note: The Detroit Institute of Arts is worth checking out if in Detroit. Very large and has a fantastic collection.

Haven’t been there in over 20 years and swore never to return.

Went there for lunch since I work like 2 blocks away…Wasn’t overly impressed.

Echo art fair at Larkin. I will definitely be there, I suggest you nyspeeders go too (unless you’re jerks).

Why?

go eat at Mike A at the hotel Lafayette

Zoo, wills BBQ, park walk, decent day.

Honda Indy, a waterfront with actual stuff there, better restaurants, a better day.
