which pressure bar should i run on my wastegate?

im going to be running 10 psi of boost on my turbo setup

which bar should i order with my wastegate?

.25Bar (3.63 psi), .4Bar (5.80 psi), .5Bar (7.25 psi), .6Bar (8.70 psi), .7Bar (10.15 psi), .8Bar (11.60psi), .9Bar (13.05 psi), 1.0Bar (14.50 psi)

unsure of what would be best. i know the wastegate is to release excess pressure in order to slow the spinning of the turbine blades.

don’t know if im supose to match my desired boost in my setup (10 psi) with the same figure on the wastegate. ie .07 bar.

or if i should go lower or higher or whatever the best scenario would be.

I deally you’d get a lower PSI spring to use a default saftey setting … you can then adjust your boost higher using a mechanical or electronic boost controller…

generally 50kpa / .5 bar is good, .4 bar is a nice ‘safe mode’ setting…

so your suggesting that it would be ideakl to go with a .4 or .5 bar for a 10psi setup?

on an external gate you should use the internal spring as your default… the fall back position. you’d need a boost control mechansim to get to a different pressure level other then what the spring is rated at…

well im going to be ordering a tial wastegate farily shortly and need to know which spring to tell the company to include with it as I have achoice of the springs mentioned up top.

which should I have included?

again get a spring for about 5LBS
just to be safe, and then just get a Boost controller to crank it up
