So you got a new stock t-case? And are out the money for the TRE rebuild? Or did the dealer work with you on that as well?
TRE never rebuilt mine, he just did a “tuned-up” (changed a 8mm bolt to an 10mm bolt or some shit like that and replaced seals I guess also magnafluxed housing and ring and pinion). John at TRE also said my T-case had a hair line crack in the teeth but was good for another 50-80k miles. I’m not really an expert on the T-case, only thing I understand is why 90w diaqueen is required. haha TRE tune up was $300. Sunken cost I suppose. I got a 1 year/ 12000mile warranty on this T-case. They also were generous to give me a loaner, I drove through the tolls w/out an EZpass with it; fuck em.
Ah ok, I thought TRE did a full rebuild. $300 to get a brand new TC from the dealer isn’t too bad, all said and done.
