So here in Houston it’s hot as hell. Even the north east is hot so you guys know what I mean. Well all weekend I’ve been working in my yard and garage with no shirt and can’t help but feel a little trashy. What do you think? Is a shirt required to stay classy while working outside? I work in an office most of the time so I’m pretty white, almost a ghost. I wante some sun while working so I figured no shirt was a good idea.
I guess it depends. You don’t looks trashy otherwise, so I think you could get away it. If you had a mullet and burly beard, maybe not.
The activity also plays into this. Gardening/landscaping…seems ok. But if you’re out there setting up an inflatable pool and drinking gratuitous amounts of Pabst Blue Ribbon, I wouldn’t recommend it.
I’ve often wondered about this myself. I’ve always been a strictly shirt-on guy unless I’m legitimately at the pool or beach. But shit, sometimes its freaking hot out.
Word lol I was wearing khaki shorts and sandles. I watered all my plants, washed and waxed two cars, changed the trucks oil and cut some trim for my bathroom in the garage. I’ll probably do some work on my corvette tonight as well. If I had a kiddy pool I’d be in it eating a hot dog or two.
I’m shirt on unless it’s so hot the shirt is soaked and sticking to me. Although in my neighborhood I’m the only normal person, so the neighbors can’t really judge me.

I do partially lol. They cut the grass, trim, weed and clean the mulch. Three/Four guys actually spend 1.5-2 hours working on my yard for $80 and 8 beers per month. I was just watering and washing / working on cars etc.
What? Normal under all conditions. Yard work = soak up some sun. Being able to go shirtless damn near anywhere in the summer is one of the benefits of being the superior sex. What’s next? Are you going to make a poll asking if it’s OK to pee standing up even though you might splash the seat?

It’s friggin hot, no shirt needed. I painted my garage this weekend and was way more comfortable once I ditched mine. I hate when you sweat enough that it sticks to you. It’s only trashy if you go to Wal Mart shirtless or something.

I try to have to my shirt off whenever it’s over 80 outside and I’m on my own property outside and without guests around.
