1988 S10 Blazer 2.6 V6…tranny 3rd gear…was an automatic so i was kinda screwed…got rid of it and since i’ve only blown up simple shit like upper rad hoses
2 VR6s in my '98 jetta, the manual transmission in a '77 sierra, the motor in my '94 escort that I traded in on the jetta (I put 60 weight racing oil and lucas in it so I could maintain oil pressure to drive it to the car dealership, and it died while they were taking it to auction…blanyer and I had to drive out to the franklin park police station to prove that i’d traded it off and not abandoned it on i-79), at least one clutch, not to mention cars I’ve totaled.
Given all the years of racing the shit out of it, my '99 Z/28 was very reliable.
'99 Z/28- Stock Torque Arm - took out the Driveshaft when it went (thanks to Pewter for hooking up the cheap DS back then)- Original Slave/Throwout Bearing - replaced/upgraded the clutch, flywheel, master and slave/throwout while I was at it.- Bent a few Pushrods, actually broke one - Let a buddy drive, and he did the 2-3-2.
'02 Z06- Diff - wheel hopped it too much drag-racing on the 19s. Started gear-whinnng bad on the way home. Drove it like that for another 3-4 months, never actually failed. It was just louder than shit.- I think the clutch is about done.
Safety glasses. I may have not been wearing them if my son wasn’t with me, but I always try to set the good example for him. It’s hard to tell him to wear them, and then he sees me shooting without…
