Pass it around John

Do they let us regular folk run at Lancaster on a Friday? I don’t know what the good days are for track prep. I haven’t been to the track since 2004 and im not up on what days are good to go on? I do want to get some slips and see where my car is at. Your right choda the car is on stock suspension still. I did a lot this year but didn’t get to it all. Theres always next year to finish it up but for now it runs and drives and it is what it is. How is track prep at Lancaster on Tuesday then? and how is track prep at nyi on sundays? I just want a decent shot and a good timeslip if I take my car somewhere. we tried to go to nyi last sunday but my day went to hell and I wasted a lot of time for nothing…

NYI track prep is always pretty good no matter the day IMO. In my 6-sp car I would cut high 1.4s there every time I went. My best nights ever were Friday night test and tunes. I had a few times that launching off the limiter I was bogging(it was only 400rwhp). I love that track. I do see many people spin real bad there but it is their combo not the track. Too much tq/gear, not enough tire or wrong tire or the combo, or suspension geometry related issues.

You can run on Fridays choko races his truck up there in points every Friday.

Oh, wow.

If ur looking for a quick run at Lancaster go Friday. That should be plenty for motor passes and getting her dialed in NA. Do * have good brakes? I skidded into the sand pit last year racing joe foureye. Stopping power from 1988 and skinnies up front don’t slow me down quick enough when I’m going balls out.

I was thinking about running up to Empire Friday.

If I were you go right to Empire, better results and more useful for tuning. Your outta time man. * have a month left.

Granted I don’t have a fast car, but I would think that if I spent almost all of my income and time on it…when it came time to race, I’d probably be down. Actually, I’d definitely be down, only because it seems like I’d have nothing else to do.

Moms is the 28th. Go to Lancaster this fri and Empire next week.

Beck- who spend most of their income on their car? Lol

I’m just assuming that some of these guys doing top high ends builds, end up costing more than their houses…

Congrats on the baby btw.

Correct me if I’m wrong but nyi wasn’t doing test and tune this week on Friday because they are making up something else from another date. Unless they changed their schedule. I looked yesterday or Sunday night I believe

^^^no racing this friday at lancaster. its the summit team event week in pitt. next friday is last night of points.

i’ve cut 1.30 60 ft on tuesdays, prep is decent. fridays are a little better only because theres more fast cars working the track. if theres no racing the previous friday then tuesday may not be as good but still works.

air should be pretty decent tonight for making power, 50’s-60’s tonight and around 50-60% humidity.

They didn’t do it because it rained on Friday. Like I said there is a swap meet and test and tune day at NYI this coming Sunday. The track prep is insane. My clutch spun 1-3 shifts when I lined up in the groove. Pay the money and get some runs in whoever wants to go. The weather is looking pretty good too for that day.

On a side note ill run some cars…

I meant this upcoming Friday they aren’t either

believe I saw fastmofo at Lancaster tonight testing…

challengermike seems like a nice guy

for the guys that say track prep isn’t good there, I cut a 1.27 60ft first pass tonight…

Well how’d it do first night out?

Well put it this way… I’m not sure what needs more work, my driving skills or the cars tune. Either way it was really fun. I actually forgot how much I liked going to the track. I got some work to do and if I can get it on a dyno this week to sort it out that would be most excellent.

Turbociv has a dyno and is a good dude

Post a slip man. This has been years in the making! Good to see * got out there pixie

lol your killin me. Let me dial this thing in for a bit. Nothing on that slip will impress anybody right now. I just needed a baseline as ive done no tuning yet. I got caught up in having fun and less about making changes between runs. I will mess with the car more when I go next time. I’m only running on motor until I get it where I think it outta be. But a dyno session would speed up the whole process which would be nice. By the end of the year ill post up my best time you have my werrrrrrrd :tspry:
