Didn’t read all the posts but Southwest.com is the ONLY airline I use for domestic flights. Not sure if this was suggested to you, but I figured I’d add it here.
I flew through Vegas on my way to LA in 2009. Southwest has a hub in Vegas so you might be able to get a straight flight…or will have to stop in Baltimore or Chicago-Midway on the way there.
