i was talking to nick while this was going on, but when you say moved it across the parkin lot you make it sound like the brought it down to the kohls lot, i dont think they intentionally put it into the handicapped spot it was the spot straight across from where he was parked, and anyone else out there that owns or has owned a standard vehicle puts it in gear most of the time when they park im included e-brakes fail all the time as was the case last night with joeys car if the ebrake had worked or was in gear none of this would have happened.
so are you saying that it was joey’s fault because maybe he didn’t put his car in gear???
travis, you apparently dont know me very well. if that was my gti… i got no problem if someone took my toyota on me and hides it like we do to swift and his beater, but if i found my bumper hanging on that someone will be on the ground.
unless im on a hill i leave it in neutral. so am i gonna get victimized now as well?
im not saying its his fault something happened to it, or that someone did something to it, its more of that just becuase you use the e brake and lock the car doesnt mean that it cant go anywhere, heres a good for instance, if he had the car somewhere else and left it as it sat there and relied on the ebrake, someone could have moved it no problem and done something to it that would have caused intentional harm, all im saying is that i could have been a lot worse done by people that really dont give a fuck
but what you dont see is that he doesnt PLAN FOR SOMEONE TO MOVE HIS CAR so why should he have to change the way he parks it, now im sure he will because he knows that several of his peers lack respect for him and his property, but there is no reason he should have to do that.
no what im saying is that i guess this is a lesson that should be learned, i had to learn the hard way about not leaving it in gear, and had mine stolen from a parkin lot, put it this way when i got it back the insurance almost totalled it so in realative to what could have happened it could have been a lot worse im not saying what they did was right im just saying it could have been a lot worse done by people he didnt know.
no lie i completely agree i didnt plan on what happened to mine to happen either
you say lesson learned like he did something that would have caused the results… parking on a hill with a weak ebrake and not putting it in gear and having your car go rolling away… that would be a lesson learned. but a bunch of people who befriended you from a common interest allowing you to believe you can trust them, then they do this… the only lesson i see here is choose your friends wisely.

I shouldn’t have to put my car in gear when in a parking lot. I’m not retarded, i put my car in gear while on a hill because no one should rely on their e-brake on a hill. I also shouldn’t have to think while at the lot, “hmm better put my car in gear, someone might move it” because i didn’t think people would be disrespectful like that.

but honestly i am truely sorry for what happened to your bumper, its not like it was seriously damaged to the extent that you cant personally fix it but i am sorry

the extent of the damage doesnt matter. and he cant personally fix it, his Father can fix it, but thats beside the point. the paint was damaged, the bumper ripped off its mounting tab
yeah i should be out and i actually think the weather is going to cooperate
well every once and a while and sometimes twice(in my case) we have bumpers that fall off because of stupid and ridiculous reasons and they are almost 99% of the time repairable
