We all are on cobaltss.net, and we just meet up at the lot to hang out and bullshit about cars and what not. We’re not there to race or impress anyone (or at least i’m not lol). There’s one or two random SS’s that I don’t know that tend to park by us. I just know the black yellow and red ones. As far as expanding my horizons outside GM, well, for me I was in the market for a new car around 20k and it basically all came down to the SS S/C Cobalt, Civic Si, and Scion tC. After test driving the 3 and looking at them for about a week straight I decided on the Cobalt. It’s a nice little car, I ran it to a 14.4 stock at 100 and with a few bolt ons can be in the 13’s. Its a fairly quick comfortable daily driver with a warranty. Don’t hate… lol.

I was looking for a parking spot on Friday and some d-bag goes “look at the gaybalt super-slow”. It was one of the ricers I think, in the lower lot. :wtf That’s cool if you don’t like my car, but you don’t have to be a douchebag about it. Sometimes it’s not all about the car, but the person behind the wheel. Know what I mean? I’m a car enthusiast myself, I respect every other enthusiast’s car out there. No matter what’s done to it. But in the end, I think it all comes down to the attitude of the driver.

lol no way, was probably a Z06. Only way you’ll see one on the road is if you live around Michigan or Arizona where the GM proving ground are. Even then they’ll have the M (manufacturer) plates on them.

Do you guys park in the upper lot? I usually show up late so theres no spots open and i’m forced to park in the lower lot. Aside from the cobalt crew, it’s pretty much ricer galore down there. I hate it. :idiots

Upper lot is TYPICALLY, the faster cars/mature crowd. Get a few pieces of rice here and there. Alot of the norms havent been out yet this year though(muscle car guys). Cant wait to get my turd done and get out. ;D

Yeah I saw some rice rolling through there. I probably won’t be coming back if i’m going to have to park in the lower lot again, the ricers are pretty much unbearable down there. I don’t even feel comfortable leaving my car there and walking up to the upper lot, never know what/who might touch it. :idiots

Usually no one is going to touch your car, and that first row in the lower lot is fine, it’s when you start parking way far down in the lot is where you don’t want to park.

The first row is alright, but theres still the rice clowns that walk by and scratch against your car and stuff (hasn’t happened to me but i’ve seen it). I’d park in the upper lot but I don’t want the muscle car guys bitching at me because I drive a Cobalt. Shit i’d rather be in an LS1 WS6 T/A, but that’s a whole 'nother story on it’s own. LOL :lol

Ive had a few people touch my car and ive almost come undone on a few of em, but unfortunatly have to keep my temper at bay if we dont want cops there/to get kicked out.

well a kid that works with my buddy has a Turbonetics kit on his TC. Its rated at 300 crank hp at 8psi. My friend set him up with a race with me so I gave him the choice to where he wanted to do the roll from (a dig was a no go with his street tires) so first run…40 roll. I was in first gear, at 5 grand lol…3 beeps, and hit it…Pulled hard and kept pulling…by 140 I had 5+ cars on him. Pulled into a side road, talked and he wanted to try a 30 roll…pull back out, 1st gear at 4k…Hit it and by 120 I had atleast 5 cars on him again. Their was also his friend that tagged along with us that had a stage 2 GT30R WRX that was also white (scion was white 2, big front mount)…He got on it when me and the scion did and the scion slowly walked away from him by 2 cars…Bob (owner of the scion) asked if i wanted to run the WRX because he wanted to run me…I asked, well, isnt your car faster then his? Bob said yes…and I said theirs no point. They said when I hit it from a 40 roll, my car lifted so hard it looked like it was gonna do a wheelie lol…they also said they couldnt even hear their cars running when I was WOT LOL.I guess the headers are alot louder outside of my car then it seem’s…cool kids tho.
