:BSflag: that little thing you call a prick won’t take a few minutes, 2 swipes with a tube of white-out will more than cover it.
No love for big fenders?
OP car is gay as hell, unless you’re Malibu Barbi.
White is a hot color, but I was expecting something a little better or even a few more pics to do it some justice.
Big fenders are hot, especially in white. See;
any C3 is not, they just look like shit, feel like shit, drive like shit accelerate like shit… basically they are shit
true
Bad example, some C3s are sweet. I used to get some many looks driving my dad’s around Florida when I was 16.
I would drive a white ZR1 only because it was a ZR1, not my first color choose on a C4, Now a whte C5 or C6 :eekdance:
White is for rental cars and commercial vehicles. I would never buy a white car. I just personally dont like the color. Im on the complete opposite end of the spectrum and love black cars. When they are clean and shinned up they are beautiful.
Accelerate like shit? So 10s bone stock with nothing other than slicks is like shit? Oh yeah, that was in 1969 too BTW.
Please edumacate me on how 10s stock is like shit?
well when its one of two that were built… but keep trying to find the exception not to rule, and they still are pieces of shit, nice try though.
EDIT: I still can’t believe your defense for how shitty a car the C3 is a engineering mule.
EDITx2: and the late 70/early 80 plastic bumpers look even worse.
Not an engineering mule. It was an actual option, just that only 3 were ever ordered. One was stolen shortly after the driver (GM executive) took posession of it (as a company car), so it was never “officially” recognized. The reason no one ordered the ZL1 option is because there was no box on the option sheet for it. You needed to ask for it specifically, and if one didn’t know they never would have.
Can’t deny that. Especially the 75’s 2-piece rear bumper with a seam down the middle. That was pretty bad.
It was an engineering exercise, to see if they could do it, hence it not being a “real” option. Engineering exercises back then weren’t done to see what they could do, they were done to get away with it. Again, defending something with the exception not the rule is not a good way of doing it, that would be like me saying an E46M3 is an 11 sec car, stock, because Hartage made a V8 package, or even the M3 GTR… :meh:
C2 > *
See if they could do what? It was the aluminum example of the L88 with with a hotter cam. BTW the L88 would run 11s stock also. The ZL1 was also put into 69 Camaros that same year. Another reason for th elimited production run was the cost of building these engines in man hours. They were all hand built in a clean room. Even every threaded hole in the blocks were heli-coiled by hand. It was way more than an “engineering exercise”.
Wow this thread is like a roller coaster, first a shitty Vette, then nice examples of white cars, then back to vettes(FAIL) then back to a Lambo…
X…:bloated:
I like it?
Uhmm… again how was any of that not an engineering. Chevrolet built 69 ZL1 Camaros, with very few actually being in the public’s hands. The L88 cars where a 13.2 STOCK, tuning, tires would put them in the 11’s, but keep trying to defend the shit box of the C3’s
63 split windows at least looked good…
agreed.
