im not used to parking my car in the city settings and such, but i still wonder how you park in the larger ones with no camera. my sister has a murano, and i hate backing up in that. i was parking it infront of my mom’s camry and i rolled up to where it looked like i was about 2-3 feet, i get out and ive got at least 3/4s of a car there. HUGE blindspots and just cant see out the back in general. u can only see well really far ahead or medium dustance ahead, the rest is the view is crap. how do you guys park those without knocking over all the garbage cans and smashing into hydrants and stuff?
i cant imagine the pain in the ass like a tahoe must be, the mountaneer i drove last nights a real pain in the ass to parallel park
I had a Dodge Ram 1500. It was huge, I didn’t really have much trouble parallel parking that.
are trucks easier in that aspect than a suv?
well could you put your gate down and open your back window to see behind you nicely? because thats what makes it a pain in the suv its tough for me to see whats back there.
my parents always had and have big cars, dad has a crown vic, and mom has an explorer, ive always loved smaller cars. plug the gas is better. i understand people who need trucks for work and what not but otherwise id dont get it. even minivans are fine because most people who have them have big familys and what not , but big ass SUVs i hate, esp when you see a 50 year old 100 pound blonde driving
When I was in the auto biz I literally drove everything, it is not hard to get used to driving virtually any vehicle. I’ve driven everything from a 26’ International box truck(which I believe is the largest thing you can drive without a CDL) down to a 1965 Fiat microcar(it is literally so small I could pick the back up by myself and I am no power lifter) and very few vehicles were difficult to drive or get used to. I’ve driven in the neighborhood of 30,000 vehicles in my life and had trouble driving a small handful(maybe 10), and most were really old and in poor condition.
You dont need a CDL when your in the military. I drove some big trucks… it sucks so bad until you get used to it.
I had a Buick Roadmaster wagon for a while and loved it. It was a huge boat but with a LT1 and 3.73 factory gears it got out of its own way… but the power steering pump died. Then it was hard to parallel park :runaway
LT1!
I have always loved big cars, grew up in the back seat of a few.
I like the feel of them. They also have to move out thou.
I will be buying a new HD soon, but it will be put to work.
Form=Function for me.
Im pretty sure I was concieved in the back of an Impala SS convertable lol Always big cars in my family until my mom bought one of those Plymouth Acclaim things. :idiots
yea, i agree. i remember seeing this tiny tiny girl in the apts i used to live in. she went to sienna, which was like 5 min away from there. she had a F350 superduty dually with the V10 i think, the triton? whatver, point is, she had like 4 pillows on the seat so she could barely see over the dash, to see her get in was like part of a indiana jones movie. shes literally scaling the side of this truck like a mountain. i dont think her head was where top of the curve of the fender was, she was tiny. the hell!
You have to remember the American Ideal of bigger is always better.
Bigger coffee mugs.
Bigger fridges
Bigger TV’s
Bigger houses, even when you won’t ever use all that space or don’t even have a family.
More legroom.
… Bigger cars :ponder
It’s part of the lifestyle of being an American, which lies in the root of the problem of gas economy. People should drive smaller more efficient cars, but people want, because they drive what they want, and they want big cars. They will pay the extra dollar differences while groaning and moaning about it (also part of the lifestyle) but won’t do anything about it, because they don’t mind paying a little extra to pay what they have, wheather they need it or not.
so 60s and 70s are comin back in more than one way? I mean ppl are starting to wear more of those LARGE-cover-half-the-cute-girls-face kind of sunglasses nowadays
fixed
:lol That can also be a case, Vlad
95% of the time, it is the case. Cute girls don’t cover their face much. The girls that think they are cute, but really know they are not are the ones that cover up as much as possible.
As Big as the size rims the buyer is gonna wanna put on em :nod
fixed.
are you serious? go fucking learn how to drive. i could parallel park my 2500 with no camera, and that is as long as most vehicles are going to get (of course a quad cab would of been longer). and i use to be able to park it with the trailer attached to it better then most people could their regular vehicle once i drove around with it a couple times. problem isn’t people driving big cars, its knowing how to drive. i laugh when people come in to my job thinking they need a back up camera. people are just lazy.
i will give it that if you cant parallel park a car you suck at driving its really not hard but there definitly are easier cars to park than others
