Why is faux not reporting about this?

Over 300,000 people called their congress representatives the other day in support for health care reform and yet Faux News continues to ignore the event? I searched all over including their own website and cannot find even one sentence that came from the network about this topic.

They also completely ignored the gay rights march on Washington that dwarfed the tea party against health care reform/obama in general (the one they lied about the actual numbers for).

 @ FAIR + BALANCED. THE NOOOOO FUCKINNNN SPIN ZONE!!!

Put down the kool-aid hippies.

So did I

They would be a bit more reputable if they made more of an attempt to live up to the fair and balanced thing though.

Glenn Beck – the anchor who dodged an advertising exodus after calling the president a racist on national television by refashioning himself a Howard Beale-style angry prophet – was hosting the coverage.

In an interview with “Fox News reporter” Griff Jenkins, Beck asked pre-emptively about the authenticity of the protesters, the same tea party and town hall enthusiasts who claim to be against no politician in particular but travel under the banner of taking their country back.

“Glenn, they are old, they’re young, they’re black, they’re white,” Jenkins yelled, standing in front of an entirely white crowd. “We are at the beginning of a political movement and they credit you!”

It may be that sort of circular integration of agitation/events/coverage/ratings that the White House is drawing attention to when it distinguishes between Fox and other outlets.

MSNBC, cited as the liberal-bias equivalent of Fox, doesn’t call itself MSNBC News and, unlike Fox, has a separate link on its website for news (Fox has “U.S.”, “world” and other sections, i.e. “We’re all news – pick your beat”).

In a response to Dunn via CNN, Fox News executive Michael Clemente said, “The average news consumer can certainly distinguish between the A-section of the newspaper and the editorial page, which is what our programming represents.”

Only it’s not called Fox Opinion, it’s all called Fox News.

From the Huffington Post on Tuesday: Congress “Getting Completely Crushed” With Over 100,000 Calls For Obama’s Healthcare Reform

Some cliff notes of the article:

At about 2:15 EST, Organizing for America (OFA) surpassed it’s goal of 100,000 phone calls to Congress.

The nationwide “Time to Deliver on Health Reform” event is the most massive outpouring of support from Obama supporters since Election Day 2008.

To generate these numbers, OFA organized over 1,000 phonebank events across all 50 states. Yesterday, OFA said its phonebanks would make hundreds of thousands of calls to voters in order to generate 100,000 calls from constituents to Congress.

After the election, Obama for America (OFA) became Organizing for America (OFA), an issue-oriented advocacy arm of the DNC whose primary purpose is…cultivating public support for Obama’s agenda.

Just to make sure there is no mistake, OFA is part of his campaign machine. This is no grass-roots organization. It’s pure astroturf, which they are constantly claiming the opposition is engaged in.

And the priceless quote which speaks volumes about the problem with the majority of the support he gets from his voters:

Several aides said the callers seemed less informed about the issue than typical advocates

so apparently you’re lieing about the figures too there bud.

No one cares about gay people even though they won’t STFU. I am still trying to figure out why they need the acceptance of govt for marriage. Now that I think about it why would I think for a second I could figure out what gay people are thinking. lol

I’m sure they haven’t omited anything from the story. Like how all the networks liked to show the guy in the crowd holding an AR-15. They just so happened to only show the gun over his shoulder. They however didn’t find it necessary to pull back and show the guy was black. But it’s those “crazy white nazi conservatives!!!”

juat?

You do know that the article you posted was written at 2:15pm est. Here is an article written the day after. Thanks

One would be wrong about that. Yesterday, over 300,000 people picked up the phone and called Congress demanding health care reform this year. This effort largely passed unnoticed by the media, of course. But the phones ringing off the hook certainly did not go unnoticed by Congress.[LEFT]

A large number of them are attention whores.
Seriously, why do they need govt approval of something so sacred as marriage?
Do you realized how f’ed up that is? It is funny really.

did you happen to miss the part about the OFA?

Amazing that this is what you take as “people speaking out” but “tea parties” garner nothing even close.

At least tea party goers got off their fat asses to make a statement. How tough is it to make phone call and be uninformed about the issues as they do so.

sacred? hahahahahahahaha seriously? With a crazy divorce rate marriage is anything but sacred. So you are saying that black people were just attention whores when fighting for civil rights? Woman were attention whores when they wanted the right to vote?

I think it is funny that you are so against gay people getting married like it is going to affect you in any way.

^^Good point lol.

Speaking of black people, marriage licenses were made for inter-marriage after the civil war so unless you are a gay black trying to marry a white you really don’t need a marriage license.lol
(Same reason for gun permits)

So, you’re saying that because the people who are supporting him now also supported him during the election, their actions are invalid?

Faux news probably didn’t report it but a peace justice in the south just recently tried to deny a interracial couple a marriage license because he didn’t agree with it

Honestly getting married is a right in this country, it is absurd that you can pick and choose what legal adults have that right

I don’t see why not…the same is being said of people who didn’t support him during his campaign.

so a couple “aides” meaning secretaries make a comment so they can feel special and all of sudden 300,000 people are completely uninformed on a topic. I called, had a intelligent conversation but according to you I guess I didn’t since all of us are uninformed
