why is this running to rich?

Ok so i have a 87 mustang with m.a.f conversion, the ex owner said he got diffrent injectors ,the cars running really really rich. does anyone know why? could it be something not hooked up right from the m.a.f? or the injectors?

You need an adj. fuel reg.

What size injectors did he put in? If they’re bigger than stock you probably need a tune or low your FP a bit.

Your MAF needs to be calibrated to your injector size. Do you know the part number for the MAF, and what color are the tops of the injectors?

It has nothing to do with the AFPR, unless you installed one & have it cranked up.

U cant just put bigger injecotrs without the map calabrated. Also a fuel reg. will be a good thing. Mustangs are anal.:thankyou:

if by map, you mean MAF, then yes. That is what exactly what was posted just above yours.

Of all the mustangs that I’ve had, there has never been a NEED for an AFPR… and they all ran just fine. :thankyou:

the color of the injectors are like yellowish orange.

if i get a regulator and set that up i should be fine?

you dont need an AFPR … is your car mass air … if soo … what meter …

are your O2’s plugged in …

soo many variables
