Will this computer be any good? PLEASE HELP!

Its been a while (over 4 years) since i really kept up with what was new in the computer world. So ignoring the fact that the system i am looking at is a Dell, will it be any good? Used mostly for internet and light gaming. The specs are as follows:

Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor 630 w/HT Technology (3.0GHz,800FSB)
Genuine Windows® XP Media Center 2005 Edition
1GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz (2x512M)
160GB Serial ATA Hard Drive (7200RPM) w/DataBurst Cache™
Single Drive: 16X CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) w/double layer write capability
13 in 1 Media Card Reader
17 inch Ultrasharp™ 1707FP Digital Flat Panel
256MB PCI Express™ x16 (DVI/VGA/TV-out) ATI Radeon X600 SE HyperMemory
Integrated 7.1 Channel Audio
Dell A525 30 Watt 2.1 Stereo Speakers with Subwoofer
Microsoft Office Basic - Includes Word, Excel and Outlook email

So i can get all that for $1060 including shipping and tax. Is that a good deal? I have no idea, it sounds like it is to me but the last computer i bought was 5 years ago and it cost $2400. So what do I know. Any help would be great. Thanks!

You will be very happy with that, but what kind of gaming? I think the x600 will do most things just fine, I still use a 128 Radeon 9700 anyways.

Looks fine bro, its gonna run just about any games out now with no issues.

should run nice… and there is some OC’ing capabilityies there as well.

Ok, OC’ing? Man I feel like such a noob, i really used to know a good deal about computers. Thanks.

One more question, i can get a 19 inch E196FP Analog Flat Panel for $20 more. But would i be happier with the 17" Ultrasharp Digital Flat Panel or the bigger 19" lower quality Analog Flat Panel?

OC= overclocking, basicly moving up the processor speed to be faster than what it is rated for. And my.02 i would go with the higher quality 17" who know how long the analog one would be good for.

Not a bad price at all, let me check with my dell rep on tuesday
