It’s an S&W cage that is designed to go around the dash. It came with the car so that is what I installed. I spoke with the guys at S&W at length about how I’m installing it in the car and consulted friends that have built sub 8 second cars. They all agree that the way I’m installing it is just fine. I don’t plan on putting the car on it’s roof or spending any amount of time at the track with it. I was originally planning to use a 6 pt, but have the 10 pt kit and the tube is 1 5/8 instead of 1 3/4 so I have to install the entire kit or buy another one. Either way thanks for the concern but I’m good. It’s only getting a 500 hp motor so I would be surprised if it goes much faster then a low 11.
