Cones are less sensitive to light than the rod cells in the retina (which support vision at low light levels), but allow the perception of color.

i remember watching a special on his garage and he was saying something like how a jet engine produces more power the faster you go…and that nobody’s ever taken one of these things to “redline” so nobody knows how much power it really can make or how fast it really can go…or something along those lines.
