Alright I’ve been searching around for this and have come up empty. My windows key (not the product code) no longer seems to work. It did previously but no longer does. Its a Logitech g15 keyboard, running Windows 7 x64.
does it do anything other than bring up the start menu?

Microsoft limits the number of installs and/or hardware changes per key. Call them and ask for a new key. I had an issue with Vista Ultimate after a few installs on the same box with hardware shifts. It took a few tries cause most the people you get don’t speka da engleesh well and they are retarded but you’ll get there.
Wait…are you talking about the windows key on the keyboard not working…or the windows key from microsoft. I ask because there is a key and serial number both.
If it’s the keyboard you’re talking about check with a 2nd keyboard and see if it’s the keyboard or OS. Probably keyboard is shot.

try reinstalling the drivers if you haven’t already.
For the record I’m reffering to the windows key on the keyboard, I use WinKey + D, Winkey + L (to lock the computer) etc. I don’t know if I have another USB keyboard. Already tried uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it…no avail…all my other keys including my Macro keys work. :shrug:
Do you have the keyboard in gaming mode?
that disables it fyi… so you don’t accidentally hit it while playing and operate shit you don’t want.
i remember many headaches from hitting the windows key on accident when playing diablo 2 when i was younger (i always played hardcore, so a death is extra shittacular).
a G15 would have been a lifesaver if it were out then.

You win, I don’t think I’ve ever used it before in my life though. I’ve hit the windows key numerous times exiting full screen. I’ve also had my G6 key set to do things in windows that would exit my game. I had to move me G6 to my G2 as it’s a Macro to put my computer to sleep.
I did know that the G15 could disable the winkey…
