Wine Tasting locally?

Is there any places here that are still open? Not looking to cross the boarder or go to the finger lakes.

yea… search. i made this thread last week… i went to 10 local wineries… nothing special. they were all open.

i found the thread. thanks. Looks like there is allot around here.

Stop on by my family’s winery. the weekend of the 25th is hallowine, murder mystery tasting tour. its a good time http://www.freedomrunwinery.com/

for those interested, there is going to be a wine tasting event in orchard park this saturday. it’s called Wines at the Shrine, I will be there along with ezfd pouring a few of the areas local wines/microbrews.

It’s all NYS/Canadian, but there are some decent bottles that will be opened, including some nice ice wines which some of you know can be pretty pricey. It’s a nice event, for a great cause, and for those of you who don’t drink wine it’s a good chance to get your feet wet as a lot of NY wines are very drinkable and easy on the pallet for noobs.

Lot of old timers here though, so don’t come if you expect to get rowdy, and make sure you wear something decent, preferably no jeans/t’s.

From craigslist:

We are having our third annual wines at the shrine to benefit shrine hospitals for children. Cost is $25.00 and includes a keep sake wine glass. Over 30 tables of wine, food and beer. Live band and chinese auction. (donations needed).
Saturday October 18th, 6-9. Shrine center, 1600 Southwestrn Blvd. West Seneca. (next to YMCA).
Tickets available at the shrine center or by calling 674-8666 or 827-0340.
Last year we had 24 wineries from new york on hand with over 250 guests.

$25 person? That sounds like a good deal.

You can taste NY wines at chateau buffalo right on hertel in north buffalo
