How do I do that?
ipconfig again and write your physical address down and then login router again and look for Mac address control / filter and apply it then enter all allowed Mac addresses fr each pc or device you wanna connect to it with
x2.
This thread is a perfect example of how shift518 is actually pretty useful IRL.
:rofl @ your edits “its kinda actually pretty much useful”
BALLS
Did you try calling me at all? I think I missed a call from you, if this is what it was for --sorry I didn’t get back to you.
Not only is my network unsecure, but I run DD-WRT and my transmit power is cranked to well over 100mW LOLFREEWIFIFOREVERYONE
Anyhow, WEP will stop 99.9999999999999999% of people from gaining access to your network. MAC Address Control will work as well, exactly how Singh said it will work. A lot of routers will already have a list of current DHCP leases that you can just select from to add them to the whitelist, some you’ll have to grab the MAC. Either way, you can get the MAC from the router or ipconfig.
The clown has NO penis.
Do you also run on channel 14? :rofl
Jdaniels how did you crank up the powa ? I wanna do it, anyway to mod my router or build an antenna? well i know you can build an antenna but i think u have to use a measuring tape and thats far more effort than i wanna get into, i’de rather do software hacks
DD-WRT has a setting for it
http://www.dd-wrt.com/site/index
DD-WRT is a must on a router… opens up a lot of functionality
Some settings though man not comply with the FCC :rofl
FucK ThE FCC LOL
DD-WRT is the shit, I have a crazy router/bridge/access point setup, power cranked up like soulja boy!!!
LOL NICE my router isnt on the list exactly, its like one number off what I see there… they don’t even have it listed, its a belkin N+ pos
I have one of those, I don’t use it :rofl
Buy a dirt cheap off-brand router that supports it. Lots of Buffalo, TrendNet, AirLink, etc are supported. Could also get an Asus brand for fairly cheap IIRC.
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Holy oldskool. I gotz a WRT54GL still running at my parents house. I run a shitty AirLink N router that cost me about $14.99.
Damn they still sell that fucking thing?
I have 2 of em…
I’ve had em for 5+ years :rofl fuck it might be even longer… one of em is an early revision… things from like early 2000’s
They run great man, I don’t need N wireless anytime soon :rofl
I like those buffalo routers though…
