It’s usually mobbed on nice days also. Last time I went down I saw a good 40 ppl between the hike down and the hike up. I do prefer to climb the tree roots to the top, to the right of the falls

my dad grew up right next to the park and i remember him telling a story about he and his siblings finding this thing years ago and thinking they were the first to ever see it
The chances of seeing a tie dye t-shirt and par of sandals is more likely than seeing the thing lit.
I’ve been there half a dozen times and only seen it lit once.
