So I’ve started working on bike and making it a fun little project! I started tearing it down last week on thursday, got all parts off I needed to.
Heres what she looked like after the parts were off.
I put the air ride suspension in yesterday night, got that all dialed in! Put the rim back on and shes sitting back on the ground now. I will take some more pics of it tonight.
Waiting on the new handle bars to come in, Ordered some Biltwell tracker bars. there about 30" wide, about 4 narrower then the bars on now. I’m getting some R1 forks, and rearsets also.
Let me know what you guys think?
This could be interesting if you added a bit more detail. How about a shot or two from before you ripped into it? What did it start life as? I can’t tell. Harley? Jap cruiser? Custom? What are you ultimately doing? What does the air ride suspension do? Let you adjust the ride height? Ride really low?
I will post before pics of the bike tonight. It started out as a Yamaha woradstar warrior. The air ride allows me to raise and lower either on the go or while at show and what not. I want the bike to look like a drag bike/pro street bike.
My dad and I are fabing a turbo kit for it also this winter. Theres a few companies that make turbo kits for the bike, but there wanting $5200+ for the kit. After the turbo is on the bike should make around 140-150hp and 150-160ftlbs.
Right now its pretty much the tear down. The tins are going to the painter end of next week. I’m going with the 50th ann paint scheme from the R1 and R6.
I’m not sure how to better explain the plans? The bike is being built for a daily driver in the summer. I’m going for a drag/pro street style.
