sorry i didnt read the whole post

this stuff works amasing for vinyl or plastics

I actually used that in my Honda Civic, I painted literally every interior part in Titanium Silver Metallic. If you do not put enough clear on it chips off though.

Wait, are those before pictures before or after you cleaned the seat? And I mean clean very well–with a leather brush and some good cleaner? Because the cracking doesn’t look all that bad. The seats just looks awfully dirty.

Either way, the finished product looks very good. to clean accords.

The before pictures I took right after cleaning, before I started to dye. So the seats were already “cleaned” at that point.

Sweet deal then! Let us know how it holds up

here is a link to where i used the leatherique brand. you need to strip all the color/stain off the leather and then restain it. it takes a while, but is really easy. just clean, wetsand, clean agian, stain, and polish. the die will not come out after it has had a week or so to cure.

the pics will be back up after i finish moving my site.

do a google search, and there is a lot of info on the differnet brands of dye.

here’s another detailed thread of somebody dying their leather. In this case, they dyed the leather a completely different color.

thats the shit i used, but it works better if you strip the old color first.

did you wet sand yours, just strip them with asetone, or just clean them and dye?

I think this seat cover belongs in the dumpster. While a good effort I would never even consider bothering to fix something like this.

That must show your lack of ambition. All I did was clean the seats, sew up the few rips/seams, wipe with basically rubbing alcohol, only sanded with like a 500 grit to rough up the surface, then wiped with alcohol again, then applied the dye.

Total time invested was a few hours, and a couple days to let the seats cure. And I am confident I have the nicest leather seats in a 13 year old Honda accord this side of the Mississippi. So I am very satisfied.
