i have a 92civic b18b1. full exhaust, intake header remote coil … Thats all engine wize. Would it be worth upgrading to a gsr. And whats all needed. I want to get near 200whp. If doing a lsvtec would get me there faster. Then ill do it and put new arp bolts in or whatever. Lookin for something under a Grand

what kinda header you got? and just do lil things like deck the block and mill the head to make sure everything is cool.
and get a Hondata, Chrome, or Neptune tuning software and you will have fun lil setup going.

then your gonna have to throw in more than 1000. My old setup was at 182 at the wheels and its lasted 3yrs revving 9k everytime I drove it. I dropped alot of money on that motor.
also you have to make sure your parts match. you can’t run a 4-2-1 header with 2.25" collector, 3" exhuast, JG IM with some crap warm air intake. the car just won’t make power.

yea. Just wanna keep up with people on the street. The Ls sucks ass. Feels like im in neutral as soon as i get to like 4 grand.
unlike those bastard K-series. All you have to do is fart in a K-series and it makes over 200whp.

yea, Its just the ls isnt a bad motor. Just not good enough. It cuts out so bad. i was reading on jackson racing. They have dyno proof of 3 cars that once it hits ( i forget ) like 5grand it drops to 80whp

if you can’t afford 2 grand to mod a civic, then you shouldn’t being trying to put that kind of cash in your car.
Its no worth it to make a loan for parts for u honda.I can see u making a loan to fix ur house but not for ur car.Just piece together a turbo set up.It should run u a litter over 1K.My .02 cents.

My GSR motor just put down 193whp and 129tq. An LS-VTEC with the same mods would probably make a little over 200.
