i have also a 98 Z-24
which type of cbr you have i have a 96f3

I’ve only had it since July, and it’s spent the vast majority of that time up on blocks. I’ve only put about 800 miles on the new engine. I’m going to once again tweak the PROM this week, and iron out the speed wrinkles in the fender when I get home tonight… Hopefully I’ll get it up to PRP at least once before the snow hits. From what other thirdgen guys have said, I’m looking at mid 13’s with a good hook and tuned chip, perhaps a low 13 or thereabouts once I get the 1LE+3.73’s mounted under the back. After that, the TBI unit is going to start being a bottleneck, but I’ll be happy with high 12’s once the SuperRam’s on. I don’t need to any faster than that for an almost-daily driver.

EDIT:
I’m not a post whore so I’ll just tack my response here:

My CBR is a 93 F2 that I bought (not running, with most of the engine internals in a cardboard box) for along with the Firebird, and have been putzing with as time and money allow, which isn’t nearly often enough. I got a real great deal on the two… $850! The only problem is, bikes aren’t a good idea as a daily ride around here, so the 'bird had to take top priority… then of course I got a little bit carried away, so neither one is quite ready for prime time almost 4 months later.

great another pony car :smiley:
