Wow, I'm bored... trolling the gas saving forum

lol

It’s fairly common amongst hardcore prius owners to accelerate at slower/different speeds in order to keep the gas engine from turning on. All to save 4 mpg. :bowrofl:

And it makes peoples blood boil

there should be a law that if you’re a hyper miler, you’re not allowed to drive in heavy traffic and especially the hammer lane

I wonder what the cost savings in gas vs cost of the stupid shit that will add up to repairs will be.

they dont save money in the long run

Driving in Reverse?
In order to boost my 15.2 MPG I’ve been seeing, to somewhere around 15.5 and to get a better estimate on my computer…I’ve recently been staying out of reverse. I figure driving in reverse isn’t going to accurately pinpoint the exact number of miles driven, therefore screwing up my estimates. Plus reverse is a low gear and it will eat up a little more gas, because there isn’t a higher gear to shift into.

I’ve been doing fairly well so far, except for at work a couple times and the movie theater once. I had to go over a curb each time to prevent me from having to go into reverse. I bent a tie rod, and screwed up my sub frame a bit. It was over $2400 in repairs and labor, but the gas savings is worth it.

I have a 7-Passenger luxury SUV, so I also haven’t allowed anyone to drive with me, for fear that the extra weight will take a toll on my mileage. I make my girlfriend drive her own truck places and just follow me. Before you accuse me of being a bad boyfriend, I do give her gas money to follow me. $80 just this week!

As soon as someone responds seriously, just respond with “YOU FUCKING IDIOT THIS WAS A FAKE POST!”

At highway speeds you could remove the belt from your P/S pump, and you wouldn’t feel any different. (Please, nobody try to remove their belt while driving at highway speeds!) The only time you need P/S is in parking lots.

I loled hard at that.
I actually enjoy never having to put gas in my honda.
when 40$ gets you 400 miles apposed to ~260 miles, its awesome.
I find myself driving alot more and alot less frustrated about having to turn around because my wife is an idiot who forgets her shadow.

or as soon as someone looks and sees 15 random people singed up today on this forum
