I would look into a 450. They seem to be the badass of quads these days.
Or if you are lucky you might come across a 440 EX those are pretty nasty things! But not a lot of them around with the big bore kit already done.
400 suzukawi quads are wheelie machines, Wayne wants to move to NYS and ride out with the hooligans down there stuntin.
LTZ450 or YFZ450 would be my choice. I raced and rode both. Suspension = better on a stock YFZ. Motor and more nimble award goes to the ltz… unless you find a FI YFZ450.
the TRX is more of a trail machine IMO than a race machine. Taller feeling, not much top end grunt, soft not so good suspension.
I rode totally different than you, so my machine setups are not going to be the same. There is nothing like a fully suspended race quad though. long travel and high end (see NOT stock) shocks. It is night and day different no matter where you ride. One reason i will never get a quad, becasue once you have a machine with $3500 in suspension alone, riding a stock machine is like going from a BMW to a Geo.
