I’m looking for a four cyl awd or fwd turboed, from factory but can be modded. Car must have decent body. Under 125k if possible but high miles at the right price will be considered. Looking to spend 5g’s or so, don’t be afraid to offer a veichle for more, just not much more. Must be reasonable distance, under 50 miles unless you can meet. Looking to purchase in a few weeks.
why not rwd? just curious
there are a lot of good starter cars you can find for 5k

My dad insist it not be rear wheel drive for the winter, otherwise I could snag a 425 hp 84 camaro for 3500. The specifics are pretty much what I stated, 4cyl awd/fwd turbo. Manual or auto doesn’t matter to me. N/A may be ok as long as its nothing slow.
does it have to be turbo’d stock? what about aftermarket turbo
Usually the stock turbo blocks can hold up to more and will prob be cheaper for me to afford used.

Buy a 97-98 GTP
S/C 3800 rocks, and for VERY little $ it can be made into a very quick car…

I’m trying to stick to a 4 banger for gas plus insurance reasons. 5g + a little more if I must to get what I want.
If you buy a 97-98 GTP, the vin doesnt carry teh supercharger code, so ins is got a non s/c grand prix, which is the ultimate grandma car. Ins would be a lot cheaper than you think…
are you just trying to be generally fast on the streets, or do you have other expectations for the car- like autox, roadcourses etc

I’m looking for a car that has tons of potential to be fast on the streets. Not looking to autocross right now. Mainly street racing and drag racing. I’m not going to lose a car that I like because it was auto.

I had $300 in mods to mine and ran a 13.9, thats nearly a SECOND AND A HALF off the stock quarter mile time…

if u want a 4 cyl, by my eclipse, its nt, but its 5spd and fwd, but seriously get a gtp if u want power, but their auto…,but sweet cars though
i have a 99 a4 tiptronic, its 1.8 T but your better of with a na 4, its prolly faster
for more $$ you can have V6 TT AWD 5spd…
I have a '98 Grand Prix GT as my DD. My insurance is pretty damn cheap too. I pay 363.00 every 6 months for full coverage 500 deductable collision. The 4-doors will be a little cheaper to insure than the 2-doors. The GTP insurance is the same also. I can get mid-20’s for mileage on the thruway, and the car rules in the snow. They come standard with tons of stuff that reduce insurance a little bit. Anti-lock brakes, daytime running lights, traction control, anti-theft, dual airbags, etc… something to think about. Plus there are tons of them out there.
yeah my eclipse gets 25-33mpg, 5spd, pretty quick, no turbo so low on insurance, newer engine put in, and rebuild on bottom end, power sunroof, new clutch , 5300
