idk shit about dodge trucks, but i was told that it has the stronger tranny from the turbo diesils? I know the stock trannys ALWAYS fail though.
somebody lied. I highly doubt a half ton has the tranny from a Cummins powered truck
Just texted him, he was a good dude, let me use his plates for a day and shit too, he said its an allison tranny, what ever that means lol.
Thought Allison transmissions were in Chevy? I could be wrong
not sure, thats just what he said… he told me after he had the cash in his hands so he had no need to bullshit me… who knows tho
yeah, Chevy only. Never in a Dodge
just did some research and people do get them to work in dodges, but your probably right pjb, dont think someone would do that kinda work to such a plain truck.
I highly doubt somebody went to the effort of putting an LCT1000(allison GM trans). The trans and swap components would probably be worth more then you payed for the truck. The transmissions on the V10 dodge and comeaparts are the same from what I remember, but not the V8s. However some of the internal parts are stronger on the 3/4 gas and diesel trucks so that might have been what he was talking about.
2004 Explored Limited? No rust…
