WTB: Brake Rotors for s13 silvia

Hey guys

Need some help, I need brake rotors asap for my 89 Silvia. Does anyone have some OEM rotors that will fit my Silvia?? Or aftermarket ones for a good price??

Does anyone know what size rotors or from what vehicle will rotors fit my Silvia??

BTW I’m in Calgary!!

Thanks all!!

Chris

CA or SR

I have some OEM 5 bolt one off an S14. Will they work for you?

If its a CA just upgrade to SR brakes. They consisit of 90-95 Maxima pads/calipers and 95 Altima rotors. They are the biggest brakes that came on a S13 Stock.

Where can I locate these!!

And my car does have a blacktop SR swaped already.

I was generally looking for something available to buy by this weekend so I can have it done monday or something.

CHris

Partsource would be a good place to find those calipers. When I did my 300zx brake swap they had all the stuff I needed. And they took my 240sx calipers so I could get the core refund, they did not care that the calipers were from a different car.

Well I don’t want to “upgrade” or change the calipers, I just want to replace the current rotor and pads as they are worn.

So what rotors can I use to replace them?

I’ve already ordered some OEM nissan pads from a Nissan 240sx, the parts guy looked up the Japanese part# and he said they they are the same just made of different materials.

Can someone confirm this too?

Thanks

Chris

Umm WHAT TYPE OF ENGINE CAME IN THE CAR ORIGIONALLY

If it is a CA the rotors are japan only as far as i know

If you give me your chassis number i can find out for sure but this looks right to me right now
CA pads are AY040-ns825
CA Rotors are 40206-35F01

Hope that helps.

Yes orginal motor is CA!! oops

So those part#'s are the original parts… But I can’t buy that here right? Is there no other brakes from another model Nissan that will fit so I can buy it here?

Thanks,

Chris

Oh and chasis# is s13-042824 ( I think ) :?

Nope as far as i know there are no brakes in the USDM market that transfer over to a CA Car.

Hmm CA18DET King’s but it was arigionaly an automatic. production date is feb 89.

the part numbers i gave your are good to go. Just order them from your dealer or upgrade to SR brakes as Flavio said or go all the way with 300ZX.

Ohhh it was a Kings Auto!! nice to hear!! OK well I’ll see if I can order the OEM rotors directly from Nissan, hopefully they don’t charge me a crapload more!!

Hey thanks for decoding the VIN… Car was made same month as my Bday!! haha.

Hey I heard maybe a 90’s maxima rotor will fit?? Can anyone confirm??

Chris

The maxima rotos are for the SR brakes. But alot of the time stuff has been upgraded out in japan so you could have SR brakes on there.

OK well I’m running outta options…

Speedtech checked to see if the maxima thing will work and its a no… Nissan sold me the wrong parts. To order something for my JDM car will take approx 2 wks!!!

Anyone got some z32 brakes they want to part with?? I NEED THEM NOW!!

Altima Rotors and Maxima calipers and pads. They work. Thats what Rob, Jaime and i are running.

OH

Maxima calipers and pads then Altima rotors…

So the calipers will bolt on directly like z32 brakes?? Are the calipers bigger or smaller then my K’s??

Thanks,

Chris

Maxima Caliper - about 30-40% bigger than stock
Maxima Pads - 30-40% bigger than stock
94 Altima Rotors - 11" rotors 22mm thick

And yes they do bolt up like the Z32 brakes.

Keep in mind that to check for clearance issue. Why not just get 240sx calipers and rotors?

I did that on another silvia, the rotor is about 0.5" bigger but no clearance issue.

Ya I think I’m just gonna do that Jack…
