Kevin, i got an awesome set of speakers from newegg for like 80 bucks. SUPER loud, sub is huge. 5.1, too!
I’ve got a 6.1 set just sitting around. Creative Inspire 6600. I cut the RCA connectors off to use them in my living room for a while. I left like 6" leads on the connectors so you’d just have to solder the wires back together. I’ve got an Audigy 2 PCI 6 channel sound card too if you need that.

u can go to best buy and get klipsch 2.1 promedia speakers for 150, work rly good and the sub can deliever some rly good bass
Logitech Z-2300 ends this thread. Can usually find them for a street value of around 110-120.
i have logitech now but not sure what model. the controller is bad which causes static in the left speaker
for how cheap you can get a decent set of speakers off newegg and sites alike, you shouldn’t even bother buying something that’s been previously enjoyed
