I’m looking to pick up a set of nice computer speakers and hoping to find something around 200 bucks or under… I don’t know much at all about whats a good set, so any suggestions are appreciated. I’m not looking for surround sound, just a regular set that will music will sound really good on.

I don’t remember what sort AMD IS THE BEST had - that kid is never around when you need him. Brett or anyone else remember? They sounded real good and IIRC the were under your max price. I almost want to say they were Logitec.
Well if you want real clean sounding speakers some of the most crystal ones ive heard are BOSE
but I dont think you can get them for under 200 bucks
Look on ebay for these… these are hands down one of the best sounding computer speakers ive heard… singh has them… I used to have them… theyre good shit
The Z-5500’s made by logitech… you can find a set pretty cheap on ebay if you look…
If you dont want 5.1 get the Z-2300’s great sounding 2.1 speakers…
But if youspend a little over 2 you can find the bose ones… and they sound amazing

I know the lower end set is only 300 bucks but can be found cheaper if you look around…
Or the Z2300’s they can be found for around $100-150
Those 2 sets are the best souding 2.1 units ive ever heard
The part I liked best about Nick’s was the volume control was a separate little knob so you’re not always reaching to the speakers.
Pretty sure his are logitech. My roomate had the same ones, and they were fucking awesome!

I have a big comptuer desk/hutch so the best place for the sub is down below like around where your feet go under the desk, right?
If your desk is near a corner… throw it in the corner…
but yea on the floor is the best place

i fucking loveeeee these things. so clear, PLENTY of bass, decent “looking” i guess you could say and reallllll loud.

Looks like that sub will rumble the taint a little!
It will shake my whole house if I turn it up loud enough. It’s nice because I can bring them outside with my laptop if I want music by the pool and it’s easy to bring back into my room since theres only 2 speakers and a sub.
