Z 5500’s are win
Add 3 more speakers to your 2300’s add a little more calarity and lots more volume and you have the 5500’s
Best 5.1 computer setup for the money IMO
siiiiiiiick
also, just did a little experimenting and its only my left speaker thats blown out (at higher volumes), think i could order a replacement somewhere?
Ebay.
Did you try swapping the speaker ports on the back of the sub to make sure the amp dident get fooked? Chances of that are slim but worth a shot…
good call! doing that now
edit: nahhhhhhhh its the speaker itself. shit.
Alright, well IDK if you can order a replacement from logitech, but the cheapest soloution would be ebay…
ORRRR Finding a set of nice studio bookshelf speakers on the cheap and splicing the analog jack that goes into the back of the sub onto the wires for the studio speakers…
Did that for a friend, a good set of quality studio speakers sounds tittys
You could buy another set of z-2300’s then return them with the bad speaker and say they were f’ed. I may or may not have done that with my volume control unit :number1
Wow I acctualy never thought of that…
Good idea nick.
Hey nick i’m going to PM you here in a bit… building a new system in the next week or two… I used to be a big AMD guy till the Intel Core 2’s came out… but im acctualy thinking about building around and AMD chip again as well for the price you cant seem to beat the Price to performance ratio with the AMD’s. Unfortunatly I havent kept up on what AMD’s doing these days or whats going to be comming out… just wanna see if you have any insight, as I was planning on going with the 965 chip but I hear one of the much cheaper series has a lot more potential
ill probably end up giving the z3200’s to my family and sc00p the z5500’s or the equivalent. they dont blast shit.
any other people with nice 5.1’s?

I have the Logitech z-5, I think they are. Theres only 2 speaker towers, but they have 360 sound, and a little remote that lets you control media player and volume, there pretty neat.

and im looking to upgrade, so that’s not much of a help :lol
Yeah, I was just joining the pissing contest :lol
How do those work? Like an AC plug and USB, or a headphone jack style plug?
mine? AC or headphone thing.
also, on a side note, does anyone have experience with external sound cards to improve the sound in between a computer and the speakers?
Get a cheap used receiver, a cheap pair of used speakers and enjoy a louder volume level and higher quality than any computer speakers will reproduce.
