WTB: Decent snowboarding setup...

I’ve been riding for about 10 years now on the same setup, that i bought used in 98. I don’t want junk, something that was decent last year is good. I am a good rider, but i just don’t go enough to justify buying new.

I have a size 9 foot. I am 5’-7". I am not sure what length board i should rock, but i prefer short because i really like woods riding. I am willing to get boots separately, but i don’t feel like piecing together the rest of the setup.

I have ridden shitty ass step in bindings (switch 360s) my entire snowboarding career. IDK, if they improved the tech at all, but i was always a fan of the step-ins.

Let me know what you have.

dre has been trying to sell a size 9 northwave boot for like a year now. do a quick search.

you should buy my board

size is 153, it comes up to my chin.

if you cant find anything and decide to piece a set up together , i have some drake matrix bindings for 75$ used maybe 4-5 times, im a size 9.5, so you’d be fine with them

eh…roomate has boots and board. Older burton seven… might be too old for u though.

its posted on here somewhere with pics

Hey man I didn’t know you were into snowboarding… We go to the valley a lot. You should def come out sometime. Lemme see if I can find anything for ya.

I have Burton HAIL boots (in white) about to go up for sale. I just havn’t made a thread yet.

I used them 4-5 times.

I am 90% sure they are nines. Might be a nine and a half.

They were like $190ish I think.

Asking $90?

I’ve got some boots for sale, new size nine northwaves. sick boots, selling em cheap

as far as a board, if you can spend ~$400 i’d hiughly recommend a lib tech magne traction. it has 7 points of contact per side, shiet actually puts down an edge in snow, which is great for around here. I’m sure others will chime in on how much they like magne traction. I’ve been riding it for 3 years, wouldn’t buy anything without it.

as far as bindings go, just make sure its something that fits you. drake matrix are ok. burton customs are only 139 new and have everything you need; toecap strap, adjustable gas pedal, etc.

let me know if you want info on any gear

Magne Traction is all you newman. But you definitely want to go with the customs. 139 for a toe cap binding. Can’t beat it… Unless you can find the Flux equivalent for 139.

Boot wise… try to find these guys.
I just picked them up, comfy as shit.

They’re all you.

jeez. coldaccord do you know anyone selling that rig?

i really am not in the mood to locate and hustle…

I am looking for a setup too…My old one is just haggard.
Length ~158
Width ~ 252
5’10" / 160 / 10.5 boot.
Someone hit me up.

i got those boots for sale, don’t need to track them down. as far as magne traction boards go, prob not. they’ve only been around a couple years so not a lot of people are selling used ones

i just got the following for $275. all brand new.

gnu riders choice (apparently built by libtech?)
frank montoya bindings
and nitro sanction boots.

wow!

where did you get that from??? that is a ridiculous deal. have andre sharpen and wax your board at urban, mine is FLYING this year…

built by mervin…

mervin makes libtech
and gnu
and roxy

sounds like a decent setup.

ugh i need to get me a snowboard this year…

it’s brand new. i can’t imagine it needs a to be waxed or sharpened… i haven’t waxed my old board since i got it in 98, so i am sure it’s WAYYY faster than that.
