go to gabrials. they got wolverines for 69 bucks. had none in my size.

i also like carolina boots. my last pair of them lasted a good while. paid 133 bucks for them.

my doc marten steel toe work boots never last. stay away from them

for now, since im broke, i got the steel toed herman survivors from wal-mart. waterproof, skid/electrical/ and soem other safety shit. cost me 50 bucks. so far so good. sucked breaking them in, but they are fitting fine and no wet feet. toes are staying warm too for now even w/ the steel toe.

rockys are hit or miss.

also, check e-bay. i was ebay hunting, but got so pissed off w/my last work boots i wanted a pair that night. 2 days in a row of wet feet will do that to ya.

dont skimp on boots, you wear the cocksuckers for how long during the day.

Your right sailor,i ahve bought bramahs for the past few times due to money and they have done me good for what they are but i had a pair of wolverines with durashok for hunting a few years back and lost em to my fucking ex so here i am. I checked on e-bay and was bidding on a few but they got to be around the same price as buying em outright in a store so i ssiad fuck it. I should check gabes but havent, they always have some decent shit for less. How are those hermans?

anyone ever try Red Wing boots?

low qaulity from what i hear

Red Wings are not low quality. I have owned several pair of Red Wings and while I think that they are somewhat overpriced I still go back. I’ve found that when you drop $200 + on a pair of boots you take very good care of them. They will last for years if cleaned and dried properly every day. In January I bought a pair of Red Wings that are a logger style boot that are great for pole climbing. I saved a few bucks and did not get the Gortex boot, but the model I bought has Drilex in them. My feet have never been wet and I have worn them to work every single day since I bought them and have worked in some pretty nasty stuff.

If you want a cheaper Red Wing look into the Worx boots sold in Red Wing stores.

Another place is the Bargain Corner on 51 in Elizabeth. They have Georgia boots there for slightly less than $100. The Georgia Giant is lightweight and comfortable to wear all day. There are several guys on our crew that did not want to drop $200 or more on a pair of climbing boots.

now you’re talkin my language, Gab’s started in Uniontown, my illustrious birthplace. make sure you goto Gabriel Bros. and not GABES. the brothers split the stores a couple years ago and the GABES ones seem to suck. gabriels are hit or miss though.

  1. if they get a good shipment in
2 the quality if you don’t buy as soon as a good truck load comes in. i once bought some timberland work boots back in teh 90’s and they had two left insoles. after like a two days my right foot hurt really bad. honestly i didn’t notice just sliding them on it took a couple hours for it too hurt.

what size? do u need steel toed?

I have a pair of Red Wings that are a size 12 EE that I will let go for $50.
