im trying to find new york state license plates from the 70’s … the plates are dark blue with yellow lettering… just seeing if anyone has any laying around in the garage or what not
My dad recently bought some for his old Plymouth. He couldn’t find any locally but was able to find a good clean set off ebay for about $50.
i asked my uncle if he’d part with one of his sets…he declined the offer. but he suggested ebay.
i may have some in my basement… ill let you know… how much are they worth?

JUICEDSS
Single plates can be had really cheap. Matched pairs go higher. They were made up to '72 (I think), and then they changed to yellow w/blue letters. They can be used legally on cars over a certain age with antique insurance, which is why I collected a few pairs for the future. I would check eBay.
my dad got his from a swap meet at the syracuse car show but i think Butch tole me he has some
man i should see how much my plate collection is worth from my late grandfather
i have matching sets going back to 1932-1979
