i got dibs on this. i might be able to swing it this week, is it just the welder its self?

PM me with info please…

that’s because they are beat to shit, used by people learning to weld. imho, buy that dudes MM175, great machine for the price, and you can weld some relatively thick metals with it. thing that sucks is you need 220v service. But if you have 220v service available, you cannot go wrong.

thanks matt, thats my only problem is the 220v. i cant get the hookup in my garage, if i could i’d grab it in a heartbeat. unfortunately i think i’ll just have to stick with the lincoln 110, its good enough for welding body panels for now.

I was in the same boat as you were earlier this year. I found one of these http://cgi.ebay.com/Clarke-130EN-Mig-Welder-110-V-130-Amp-No-Gas-or-Gas_W0QQitemZ160169007716QQihZ006QQcategoryZ113743QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem from a guy in rochester local pickup. Welder, gas bottle, two helmets, cart and gloves for like 250. The Welder works great. Comparable to lincolns and millers from everyone who welds that has used mine. They are actually the same company who make the craftsman welders (aka this http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00920569000P?vName=Tools&keyword=mig+welder ).

works, ok without gas…kinda a lot of splatter. and with gas works excellent.

damn did you get a deal!

im gonna take a look around craigslist and on ebay locally. thanks for the help!

btw, whatever you end up getting, make sure it is set up for shielding gas. you cannot expect that self shielded wire crap to hold anything together. Might as well jb weld the shit together. It is called Gas Metal Arc Welding for a reason.
