I got the 80 and played a lot of PS2 games on it. I have yet to find one that does not work.
The good thing about the 60 and 80GB they have 4 USB ins. I have Rock Band and its nice having the 4 as you just plug and play all 3 insturments which use all 4 ports because the Mic needs the controller and the Mic plugged in at the same time.
40GB only has 2
So if you are going to get one I would definitely snag a 60 or 80GB.
