The sump line to the house backed up and could not be snaked. I believe this line will need to be replaced. (im no expert)
Now the laundry sink is backing up. Im not sure if they are tied together? But it happened some time after which is odd.
If I have to dig up my front yard I would like the sewer(toilet water? different pipe right?) replaced as well.
I want this done like yesterday. I am willing not looking for some special hookup I am simply looking for a professional business that will communicate in a timely manner and do quality work. This is in the city near delaware park
Please help! So far I keep getting “we will be able to look in a few days” followed by radio silence…
I dont think they tie in. I had the sink backup before and had that line snaked and not the sump. Either way I want the entire system replaced. This should be easy money for someone lol.
Go ahead and text or email me the info for your guy. I will call him in the morning.
My bro is a plumber/heating/AC/Construction/electrician. Just tell him you got his number from his brother Jason. He will also work around your schedule, days, nights, weekends. For reference his company builds all the tim hortons in the area. He does all the plumbing/heating/ac work.
The sump line is probably much less work to replace than the main line. I had my sump line done about 8 years ago and it’s it wasn’t buried deep at all and was tied into the downspouts. Could be different in Buffalo though. I hired the guy who worked for Roto-Rooter to do it after hours as a cash side job and he and a buddy just dug it by hand.
What I’m getting at is if your main line doesn’t really need to be done this might not be a case of “I’m digging anyway might as well do both”.
Sounds like you have two separate issues, the laundry tub backing up is likely a issue with the main sewer line, my last house had the tub over flow a few times it was due to sewage backup during heavy rain (City of Tonawanda had shitty sewer system) that is obviously not the case here and it is likely either sludge build up or other shit stuck in the pipe that should be able to be snaked from the outside unless you happen to have a clay pipe and roots crushed it.
Your sump probably goes into your storm drains, those could be backed up or collapsed as well, I do find it odd you have a sump, many old houses have natural drains typically.
