I NEED THA SILVA FRONT END FOR MY S13 AND MAYBE IF ITS POSSIBLE THA LIGHTS TOO
got the kit, as is or bodyworked…everything…square non-projo headlights…don’t bother low ballin, I’ll sit on it as long as I have to, or until I utilize it. no I will not sell bits or pieces…
My relative is open to sell their JDM HID projectors/hood/and r l front fenders. It’s all JDM OEM from a S15 Spec R.
Located in Toronto.
Drop me a line if your interested w/ your offered price.
I’m meeting up with him over the holiday, so I can ask him.
He was considering do the S15 front end conversion for a s14 240sx, but is iffy about it, b/c he’s concerned it will draw too much attention and increase his chances of vandalism and theft.
To me the projector HID’s are worth $1700 alone and the OEM panels are worth about $1500. Pls note that when I inspected the s15 body panels, there were a few small dents similar to door dings. This should be a concern, b/c you’ll have to prime and repaint in the event of any front end conversion.
Fiberglass conversions are inferior to the aforemetioned, due to material& handling issues.
I’ll get a firm price from him when I see him over the holidays.
excuse me? 1700$ for s15 headlights?!
go read another magizine please…
lol yea that price is rather ammusing…

For comparison here is a s15 halogen headlight: http://www.jdmautogames.com/product_3828_12496.html goto the link and the price is roughly $980.00 USD prior to shipping. Pls note that if you get a HID conversion kit (which is in theory ‘illegal’), you’ll be spending another $400 or so for a no name kit. What does that equal?
$1700 is for the whole HID projector head lights. w/ oem ballast and proper beam projection profile and cutoff; most HID kits do not have proper beam pattern due to the inappropriate optics of the headlight reflector apparatus, thus the enhanced output in lumens is actually dispersered over a larger than optimal beam area. In short aftermarket HID area brighter (if the K’s are optimal) but the beam dispersion is weak.
It’s your choice, cuz it’s your money. As the old caveat goes, you pay for what you get. I’ll get a firm price from my relative if anyone is still interested.
I studies optics at UC Berkeley and am highly aware of proper visual perception and optimal night time vision settings. I’m going to look up an article for HID for all members of the forum…look for my following post(s).
All the best,
bri
Pls refer to the tech section. I’ve posted a link to an informative HID article.

If you’re so aware of proper visual perception and so-called “optimal” night time vision settings, you’d know that S15 lights, whether they be HID or halogen, emit a reverse beam pattern because they are off of a RHD car. They do not throw off a beam that is conducive to safety in areas with right-side traffic.
Mike,
You got me there! Thanks for pointing that out to all the forum members. I’m not sure if one can realign the projectors or reverse them, i.e., from r-side to l-side. Anyone interested in these should make sure this can be done.
Thanks again Mike!

Hi Guys,
Just to follow up on my last post. You cannot swap the r-side to the l-side for the headlight…so if you want to have the proper beam pattern it isn’t going to happen.

bri
i got a little news for you…ANY JDM HEADLIGHT IS ILLEGAL, the headlights cannot be aimed correctly. they are set up all wrong, especilly on the projectors…but hey you know that right…damn you beat me to making you look like a fool! damnit!
i found that out the hard way with my s13 triprojectors and the blitz and a nice little ticket…no matter how i aimed them they still weren’t up to par for the cops…it really sucks…oh well. i just stopped driving friday nights.
