My daughter is not quite 2 yet but I want to get her on skiis as soon as possible.

yeah that’s def a good idea, alot of ski places rent per season reasonable, and i think thats great getting ur kid out early! i’ve been skiing since i was 4 and won’t stop till i die!

when i was younger we used to just go to ski swaps and stuff, and i got “new” used boots every yr or so for cheap…
Most local shops are around $100 for a season-long rental for boots, and skis. You might have found cheaper gear at the swaps, but unfortunately you missed them all.
At this point, your best bet is ebay for used gear, or rentals.
Have fun teaching her to ski though and giving her a passion and reason to absolutely LOVE the winter and the outdoors.
