I am in the market for a sled this winter. I have some crazy feeling that as bad as last year was, this year has to be better. My brother has storage for me and the trailhead is in the field accross from his new house in wales.
What do I need to know and what should I stay away from. I am open on price and year. I could pay cash or finance, so I just need to find a few deals that I can see which way I want to go. Any advice would be great!

I jumped into the sport last year with a 2000 Arctic Cat ZR 600. It’s a nice sled but it doesn’t have anywhere near the suspension travel of the newer ride forward style. If I could have got it out more than 4 times (2 where we trailered all the way to Tug Hill) last year my plan was to upgrade to a ride forward style for this season. I couldn’t justify the upgrade after the horrible season last year though so I’m going to just ride it another season and see if I get enough use to bother upgrading.
