anyone 100% know the rules with salvage shit? My friend told me if I bought something on ebay with a salvage title, I ship it to NY, get it salvage inspected and they find something un-legit with it im fucked, they take the car and I CANT get my money back…anyone know if this is true? If so why the fuck do I see salvage shit sell left and rigth on ebay?

very true man ,. i cant leggaly issue a sticker on a salvage car unless it has a green state ok,d sticker . it flags the dmv when the vin is scanned so sticker gets a reject
If its got a title youre ok but you need to take it to a state theft inspection to get a title if youre the first one trying to register it after its been totalled.
Ive bought and sold salvage cars with no issues.
if it has been inspected already then yes its legit , even in new yourk . if it hasnt then its hard esp on out of state cars
Heres the thing, it has been through a state salvage inspection in AZ and CA but NOT Ny… This being said, weather it has passed in those states doesnt matter as it will still need to be inspected in Ny… I dont know if its worth gambling. The fqact that he doesnt have reciepts for new fenders and what not doesnt help either.
